Inside BlockStart programme – a look back from Thunder Hunter

Thunder Hunter is an independent energy consultancy.

As part of their journey on BlockStart’s 3rd Acceleration Programme, as an SME adopter, they were looking for new opportunities for collaboration with technology providers of DLT/blockchain solutions that could improve their business. This is the testimonial of their experience in our programme.

In one paragraph, what is Thunder Hunter?

We are an energy consultancy specialized in optimizing our clients’ energy supplies. We get the best rate from the marketers that exist in the market and we take care of the whole process, offering our clients honesty, transparency and follow up in everything related to their supply point.

What is Thunder Hunter passionate about achieving?

Thunder Hunter’s engine is the client. What does this mean? To be able to position ourselves as an integral representative in front of the energy marketer, to manage and solve each and every one of the incidents that may arise around the energy supply points.

Can you tell us why you have decided to apply to BlockStart’s 3rd Call for end-user SMEs?

The decision was initially motivated by the social character of the proposal. Secondly, to be able to get started in the blockchain world and innovate in our company. Finally, being able to collaborate with Comunitaria and learn from a company so well established in this field was the confirmation we needed to apply to this initiative

What major challenges have you faced during the implementation/testing of BlockStart’s blockchain-based solution?

The biggest challenge we faced from the beginning was to understand how Blockchain technology works. We had to make a previous study in order to understand all its applications and how to contribute to this project. After having overcome this we just had to put all the effort of the team and row in the same direction as our colleagues from Comunitaria.

What kind of impact do you think the blockchain-based solution you have implemented in the scope of BlockStart may bring to your company?

What matters most to us and what has been decisive is to be able to develop a social and innovative project dedicated to helping people in our immediate environment. Thunder Hunter takes away from the experience satisfaction, learning and innovation.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?

We are focused on developing the most premium proposition to our major customers and no doubt that is going to happen by implementing blockchain solutions that help us to have maximum control and efficiency in the management of their supply points. A small and committed team can achieve this and much more 5 years from now.
