Go Limpets is a company focused on the research of the limpets life-cycle and selfish commercialization, established in 2018.
As part of their journey on BlockStart’s Acceleration Programme, as an SME adopter, they were looking for new opportunities for collaboration with technology providers of DLT/blockchain solutions that could improve their business. This is the testimonial of their experience in our programme.
In one paragraph, what is Go Limpets?
We are an agrofood specialized company with a passion to grow limpets for human consumption.

Growing and reselling Limpets and their by-products.
Can you tell us why you have decided to apply to BlockStart’s Call for end-user SMEs?
It provides an excellent opportunity to validate new tools in our context and with an added-value towards our market. We can only be dynamic and innovative, by working and collaborating with other initiatives that aim at supplying improvements to our core business.
What major challenges have you faced during the implementation/testing of BlockStart’s blockchain-based solution?
Mostly technical challenges to get the solution to be operational. Afterwards, once we did the pilot it went very well. The only drawback was in testing the number of roles, as we were bound to iphone / ipad as physical support for deploying the solution. This has been noted and an android solution is planned.
What kind of impact do you think it may bring to your company?
In the future, it will place our company in the forefront of sea food distribution companies. And will bring unparalleled trust to our own product.
Where do you see your company in 5 years?
Commercializing Limpets and it’s by-products at a global scale.
