Inside BlockStart programme – a look back from A-Birojs

A-Birojs provides product delivery services in Latvia, including b2b delivery where it delivers to more than 6000 offices daily (birojs.lv) and the recently launched b2c brand (ertadzive.lv) where it delivers groceries and household items to end-consumers.

As part of their journey on BlockStart’s Acceleration Programme, as an SME adopter, they were looking for new opportunities for collaboration with technology providers of DLT/blockchain solutions that could improve their business, namely their newly created b2c brand Ertadzive.lv. This is the testimonial of their experience in our programme.

In one paragraph, what is Ertadzive.lv?

Ertadzive.lv is a delivery service provider for b2c customer segments. We established this brand because of the huge demand for delivery services at the time when the covid19 pandemic started to spread.

What is Ertadzive.lv passionate about achieving?

We want to provide the best prices and best customer service for b2c deliveries.

Can you tell us why you have decided to apply to BlockStart’s Call for end-user SMEs?

Overall it was a great chance for us to test some of the technologies and solutions that we wanted to implement for some time already. It made sense to apply for this program and we are not disappointed.

What major challenges have you faced during the implementation/testing of BlockStart’s blockchain-based solution?

In the beginning the solution lacked some core functionalities that we required, such as user roles for the company dashboard. However, the developers listened to our needs and quickly solved all issues.

What kind of impact do you think the blockchain-based solution you have implemented in the scope of BlockStart may bring to your company?

We hope that it will help to develop and establish our brand Ertadzive.lv , because this brand was created recently and it is a new player in the market. We are also looking forward to using these solutions in order to protect our company in a case of liability when we work together with other parties.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?

We want to keep working on gathering new customers for both brands, Birojs.lv and Ertadzive.lv, and increase our sales not only in the capital city but also across the whole country in b2c and b2b sectors.
