Piegade69 provides quality on-demand delivery services in all regions of Latvia.

As part of their journey on BlockStart’s Acceleration Programme, as an SME adopter, they were looking for new opportunities for collaboration with technology providers of DLT/blockchain solutions that could improve their business. This is the testimonial of their experience in our programme.

In one paragraph, what is Piegade69?

We provide b2b and b2c third party delivery services.

What is Piegade69 passionate about achieving?

Fast and quality delivery of any kind of products or items. With the solution provided by Kedeon we want to achieve high trust of our services, giving our customer the peace of mind that we will take care of each delivery to the necessary standards.

Can you tell us why you have decided to apply to BlockStart’s Call for end-user SMEs?

Because of Covid-19, we saw an increase in deliveries because more and more people ordered different goods with delivery to their homes or offices. We think that it was a great chance to implement some of the latest technological solutions in our operations and see how they would actually work in real life scenarios versus promises that are out there. We are also planning to expand in different niche sectors for delivering products and this would provide interesting data which would help us to create a thesis about our plans.

What major challenges have you faced during the implementation/testing of BlockStart’s blockchain-based solution?

As we are delivering to very remote locations, the network coverage for devices was not there and this raised some issues in the beginning. But this is understandable because the network technology for these IoT devices was rolled out just a few months ago.

What kind of impact do you think the blockchain-based solution you have implemented in the scope of BlockStart may bring to your company?

Providing real time data about our operations, helping us to better understand how to optimize and improve our services.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?

We want to become the leading last-mile delivery service in the region.
