As part of their journey on BlockStart’s 3rd Acceleration Programme, as an SME adopter, they were looking for new opportunities for collaboration with technology providers of DLT/blockchain solutions that could improve their business. This is the testimonial of their experience in our programme.

In one paragraph, what is D-Visor?

D-Visor is an applied R&D company for safety & security in (semi) public spaces (e.g., festivals). D-Visor’s competences in processing architecture and ontology alignment in the area of real-world/meta-verse festivals can contribute to boast other Blockchain SME’s.

What is D-Visor passionate about achieving?

D-Visor company is brought together by a shared passion for innovation, creating impact and festivals. D-Visor’s teams is intrinsically motivated to adopt technologies in general and blockchain in particular. We see blockchain technologies and collaborations from projects like Blockstart as a key lever to improve technological excellence: thus, not only for D-Visor but also, and more importantly, for its clients.

Can you tell us why you have decided to apply to BlockStart’s 3rd Call for end-user SMEs?

D-Visor strongly believes that collaboration, business-oriented testing of prototypes and pilots will lead to cross-fertilization of ideas, concept and techniques, boasting business development and opportunities for both SME adopters and DLT/Blockchain start-ups. This fits with D-Visors clients (notably festivals) desire to embrace blockchain technologies as an addition to the pallet of services and products (e.g., NFT’S for souvenirs and ticketing), opening new opportunities

What major challenges have you faced during the implementation/testing of BlockStart’s blockchain-based solution?

Our collaboration operates at the cross-junction of social, physical and cyber spaces, which is a huge challenge on its own. Finding the right touch points for both of us as a SME adopter and Digital Village as a DLT/Blockchain start-up, was not that hard, but translating them into a road map that will lead to business success took a lot of communication and our creativity. On the more technical side defining the exact interfaces was also a challenge.

What kind of impact do you think the blockchain-based solution you have implemented in the scope of BlockStart may bring to your company?

Through this collaboration we will venture into digital events together with one of D-Visor’s key partners. It will open up new possibilities in the market and allow us to extend our security functionality into the metaverse.

Where do you see your company in 5 years?

D-Visor strives to be a well-known festival innovator in the Benelux and Europe at large, with a focus on safety and security related issues.
